About Me
I am a former school teacher. I lived and worked and raised my family in Billings Montana where my husband and I owned several businesses. He unexpectedly passed away and left me completely wrecked. After pulling myself together and finding a way to survive I began a spiritual journey that has led me to a whole new life. I now live in the mountains outside of Red Lodge, Montana with my new husband, Layton Howerton, and our dog, Boone. We spend our time together watching sunsets and listening to the windchimes (that represent both of our late spouses) from the porch. We love exploring, reading, writing, creating music and art, contemplating the ways of the world and dreaming of our next juicy adventure. I, myself, am a being of opposites. I'm a minimalist in design and a maximalist in practice. I like things simple and also I collect curiosities of many types from rocks and bugs to antiques and unexplainables. I am super organized and I make giant messes and am a bit of a messy person. I am a right brained thinker, creator, and dreamer and I love graphs and charts and deductive reasoning math problems. I love wearing flowy, frilly clothes and especially lovely shoes and also I am a barefooted nature babe who loves camping, jumping in mud puddles, and getting dirty. I am very serious about not taking myself, my art, or my life so seriously. I am full of deep grief for the losses in my life and I am full great joy for the beauty, humor, mysteries, and love in my the life. I am passionate about following the joy wherever it leads. One of my greatest joys in life is being a mother and grandmother!
